Emily joined Young Lives Peru as Communications Coordinator in October 2017. She holds a degree in Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, completing her thesis on critical analysis and interpretation of the journalistic discourses during the socio-environmental conflict around the Conga Mining Project (Cajamarca, Peru).
She has previously worked as a freelance reporter for different communications media on various topics, such as environment, economics and education. She has also worked as a Communications Intern in the International Labour Organization, specifically on topics relating to green economy. Finally, Emily recently started her career as an English and Writing teacher for young adults.
