Pierre Marion joined the Young Lives team in November 2017 as a quantitative research assistant. He holds a MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex.
Prior to Young Lives, Pierre worked as a Research Analyst in the Research and Impact Assessment Division (RIA) at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialised agency of the United Nations in Rome. Pierre contributed to conducting impact assessments of IFAD-supported projects and to publishing research papers. He was also a consultant in the Statistics Division (ESS) of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
His research interests include development economics, impact assessments, agricultural economics, youth, nutrition, poverty and vulnerability analysis. Pierre has field experience in Burundi, Chad, Tanzania, Senegal, Ethiopia and Uganda.
