Rosaleen joined the Young Lives team in 2015 and is responsible for publications, media relations, events and digital communications including social media, e-communications, and website content.
She has over twenty years’ experience working in communications and development. Before joining Young Lives she worked for agencies such as the World Bank, HelpAge International, Save the Children, the BBC and UNICEF, and has also worked as a freelance journalist. She began her development career as a communications officer with UNICEF in Swaziland in 1995.
She has spent much of the last decade based in South-East Asia, specialising in disaster and emergency communications and has worked on emergency reponses in Indonesia, Pakistan, Haiti and the Philippines. She has an MA in International Journalism from Napier University, Edinburgh, UK.
