Sindhu joined the Young Lives India team in 2015. She has an MA in Social Work, specializing in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, and an M.Phil in Public Health from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She has over 20 years’ experience in the development sector, with various national and international organizations including UNDP. Sindhu started her career as qualitative researcher using participatory research and evaluation methods, before becoming principal/ senior researcher, a Ford Foundation Fellow, knowledge management & learning specialist, and a gender & community participation specialist.
Her focus has been on public health, maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition, adolescent health, gender equity and social inclusion.
