We're delighted to announce the official launch of a new project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to harness lessons and learning in longitudinal research to support researchers running large-scale international development studies in low and middle income countries.

Undertaking longitudinal research in low and middle income countries (LMICs) brings a host of challenges often not present in other forms of research. With the support of the ESRC and a range of institutional and individual partners, including members of the Global Challenges Research Fund, Young Lives will deliver a range of events, initiatives and resources that will help strengthen capacity and effectiveness among a growing community of practice in the field.

Young  Lives is now inviting researchers, practitioners and interested parties around the world to engage with the programme of activity and knowledge sharing in the following ways: 

1. Participate in our online survey to contribute insights into research challenges and opportunities
2. Share resources and publications to our digital library of useful references

Further opportunities to connect, engage and develop knowledge with other participants in the conduct, management or review of longitudinal research will be developed over the coming year.
