The Parliamentarians’ Group for Children (PGC) with technical support from UNICEF India and in partnership with the Centre for Policy Research is hosting this conference on the SDGs and what they mean for children.

The Parliamentarians' Group for Children is a multi-party platform, launched in 2013, that engages parliamentarians at the national and state level in India in solution-based discussions and roundtables on children’s issues. Over 30 Parliamentarians from India, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Bhutan, Liberia, EU and Sri Lanka are expected to participate. 

Dr. Renu Singh will present recent findings from joint UNICEF- Young Lives research on children's everyday experiences of violence, and specifically corporal punishment, at the session on Child Protection and Prevention of Violence on 11 December .
