Alan is the Senior Quantitative Researcher at Young Lives in Oxford. He has been the Principal Investigator of Young Lives Peru since 2012, now sharing this responsibility with Antonio Campos. He is also a Senior Researcher at GRADE.
Alan has a DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford. He also holds a master’s degree in Economics for Development from Oxford and a BA in Economics from Universidad de Lima (Peru). His research has focused on the study of the short-term and long-term consequences of early-life shocks; skills formation; and on the impact evaluation of social programmes.
Prior to joining the Young Lives team in Peru in 2012, Alan worked as a Senior Economist in the Economic Research Division of the Banco Central de Reserva del Peru (Central Bank of Peru). Please see his Oxford profile for what he has published associated with Young Lives.
